During this clinic a special protocol that treats the psycho-emotional aspects of cravings, stress, and trauma is done in the ear. This protocol is a specic set of points known as 5NP (5 needle protocol).
​Ear points known as Sympathetic, Shen Men, Kidney, Liver, and Lung are activated with needles in the ear during these 30 minute sessions. Additional head and ear points may be added at my discretion, this special clinic will not be more than 10 needles. All points will be scalp and ear points.
Acupuncture increases blood flow, nitric oxide release, and the release of endorphins, the bodies natural pain killer. After all you are being gently stabbed with a very fine needle (generally less than 3 of your hairs in thickness) the body to responds. The acupuncture points provide more direction to that response.

In this style of acupuncture, the large room of my office can have up to 6 people being treated at the same time. Doing acupuncture like this keeps the individual price lower than private sessions. Essentially the cost of the time is divided between the people getting treatment. 
Acupuncture is performed with you clothed and the needles go in your arms (elbows to fingers) in your lower legs (knees to toes), ears and head. Yes this works for all areas of your body even though you may have back pain we still apply needles in these areas to treat it. Please wear loose fitting clothes so that access is easy and comfortable.
Within this setting, I encourage relaxation and quiet but sometimes conversations of mutual support start up, which is also a beautiful thing. There is relaxing music playing but you may want to bring your own headset and listen to whatever you want during your time of healing.
To get the most of this style you must be comfortable being in a room with others. You will have had filled in the daily intake form online in the PHR, but you still may need to describe what is going on, for your treatment to be honed for you.

Customizing the time
If you cannot make a scheduled community acupuncture time you can schedule a time that you bring a couple or more friends or family and make your own community.
