I am an expert in pain management, releasing trauma, and helping to repair repetitive stress patterns held in the body. Being in the healing field for over 40 years, a licensed acupuncturist for over 12 years and combines the many healing modalities of bodywork that I have mastered over the years to provide a deeper healing experience for my clients.
 
The Desire to Help People Heal Started at an Early Age
Born and raised in Southern California, I came to acupuncture in a very round-about way, but as a result, bring a strong western medical background which aids me to help you, my patients.

My passion for the healing industry began in early teens teaching myself massage for allergy relief, practicing often on friends, family, and classmates.

After graduating from high school, I attended Humbolt State University, in Northern California graduating with a B.A. in Biopsychology.
After which I completed massage school and extensive continuing ed in light touch techniques– once again following the path that my heart had led him on as a teen.

In my early 30’s, the calling to further my medical career I returned to Humboldt State University working on completing my pre-med with the intention of becoming an Osteopath.  At this time I schooled and worked as a medical assistant at an internal medicine clinic and a PT aide at the local hospital a weekend a month. I often saw the same doctors at the hospital that I worked with during the week, toiling away at the hospital on the weekends. (Yes, like I was doing.) During this time, there were two Osteopaths in particular that caught my attention. While they progressed forward in their careers, they worked long hours and didn’t appear to be terribly happy. They disclosed that they “didn’t think this was how it would be.”

Burning the candle at both ends like this ran counter to Scott’s perception of embodying the tenants of health and healing — and so, it was clear that a change in course was needed.
What had helped me besides osteopathy? After some deliberation I remebered acupuncture. I enrolled in the highly respected Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) in Portland, graduating in 2011.

An appointment with me is a relaxing experience, where I take the time to learn how you are doing physically and energetically, and determines the best course of action to help you achieve relief and results.

My modalities include acupuncture, acupressure, craniosacral therapy, lymph drainage therapy, reflexology, Shiatsu and more. When appropriate and welcomed, I incorporate qigong, breathing exercises and guided visualizations to assist you in to maintain and enhance the positive effects of your treatments.
